Hi everybody, Dan Scott here. I wanted to take just a minute to thank you for listening to WDAB as we continue to transition into a community radio station, and thank you for your patience over the last few weeks as we’ve been battling major issues with our transmitter. Trust me, I know how frustrating it is to turn on the radio and NOT hear our local programming. It’s been a very stressful time, believe me. The good news? We’ve got it fixed. And hopefully that issue is behind us.
I also wanted to address our morning show. Or, for the moment, the lack of one. Cameron Tarrant, our very talented young host, was presented with a job offer he simply couldn’t turn down. Thankfully he is still with us, co-hosting a sports show on Sunday’s with SoCon John Hooper called “The Spread.” But it’s left an obvious void in the mornings.
While we are looking for Cameron’s replacement, we will fill the 7-9 a.m. time slot with replays of some of our other local programming you may have missed. It will give you a chance to get familiar with them, as well. And if all goes according to plan we will have a new morning show in the not-to-distant future.
Until then, please continue to listen and support us. Spread the word. And remember, 8 months into this transition we are still very much in our infancy. And as you’ve seen, or heard, experiencing the expected growing pains.
But we are growing. And looking forward to getting better and better, and bringing you along for the ride.
So again, thanks for listening to 1580 WDAB. And Welcome Home!
